Import Contacts From Emails / Contacts Suggestions

This feature is available in module Contacts & Companies (Basic). In the Basic version, the feature is limited to 10 contacts per month per user; in the Professional version, it’s 50 contacts per month per user; in the Enterprise version, there are no limits on the feature.

Import Contacts from Emails
- The button to import contacts can be found in the Contacts module under the Import Contacts option, or you can simply proceed with the import via this link.
- You will be prompted to sign in to your Microsoft 365 account. After logging in, a table with suggested contacts will appear, based on the emails in your inbox.
- You can adjust the time range for which emails are searched and contacts are suggested.
- For each found item, you have the option to Convert to Contact or Merge with Existing. Converting creates a new contact, while merging connects the found information with an existing contact that has a different email address in your database.
- The feature can identify by name whether you already have the contact saved in the database and will directly suggest merging it.
- To streamline the process, click Convert items to contacts to save up to 20 contacts from the table to eWay-CRM at once. As contacts are created, they disappear from the table. If more contacts are detected, you’ll have the option to load additional ones after the first batch.
After closing the table, use Import email history to all contacts you’ve just created to save associated emails in eWay-CRM. Finally, click Close to finish.. - If you have created contacts and had the Import email history to all contacts you’ve just created feature enabled, you will be given the option to import emails. You just need to choose how old the emails you want to import are, and then click Import Email History.
- Once the import is complete, you will have contacts in your database along with the linked emails, which you can start working with right away.
Contacts Suggestions
- The Suggested Contacts tab is only available in the Contacts module. Simply click on any contact to display the preview panel. This panel is slightly different for contacts. In addition to pinning the panel for contacts, you can also switch to the Suggested Contacts tab.
- At the top, there is the account you are currently signed into. Using the pencil icon, you can log in to a different account, and after logging in, new suggestions related to this new account will be loaded immediately.
- You see a list of suggested contacts, with newly suggested ones marked with a red dot (automatic refresh occurs every four hours) and appearing at the top of the list. You can take the following actions with these items: Convert to Contact, Merge with Existing (adds the email address to an existing contact), or Hide.

- If you want to view the hidden contacts, click Show Hidden. You will see a table, where even the hidden contacts can be converted into actual contacts.
- The feature is also available on the homepage where you can find it in the tab next to Recently Opened tab.
