New Outlook Preview Panel Feature: Prioritizing Customer Data

We're excited to announce a new feature in eWay-CRM Online add-in for Outlook. Our latest update to the preview panel now prioritizes displaying customer information over internal colleague details, helping you stay focused on what matters most—your customers.


 

What's New?

Customer-Centric Display

  • Prioritized Customer Data: When you view emails in Outlook, the preview panel will now preferentially display information related to your customers—Contacts, Leads, and Companies—instead of your colleagues, even if a colleague is the primary sender.
  • Smarter Email Analysis: The system intelligently scans all email participants (excluding you) from the Sender, To, CC, and BCC fields to find matching customer records. This means you'll see the most relevant customer information right when you need it.

 

Focus on Active Deals

  • Active Deals Highlighted: We've optimized the preview panel to show only active deals, filtering out any closed or lost opportunities. This helps you concentrate on ongoing engagements without distractions.

 

How Does It Work?

Imagine your colleague sends an email to a customer and CCs you. Previously, the preview panel might have displayed your colleague's information. With the new update:

  • You’ll see the customer’s details first, providing immediate access to essential insights about the customer.
  • If a colleague emails you and CCs a customer, the preview panel will prioritize showing the customer's information over your colleague's.

This change ensures that every interaction brings you closer to understanding and engaging with your customers.
